DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE STORE
INTRODUCTION: E-commerce, sometimes referred to as online market or e-business, encompasses the exchange of goods and services using electronic platforms, specifically the Internet and related computer networks. The volume of electronic trading has experienced a significant surge due to the widespread adoption of the Internet. Commerce is executed by leveraging and stimulating advancements in several areas such as electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data exchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data gathering systems. Contemporary electronic commerce commonly relies on the utilisation of the World Wide Web during various stages of a transaction's lifespan. However, it may also involve a broader spectrum of technologies, including electronic mail.
A significant proportion of electronic commerce primarily occurs in a fully digital manner, particularly for intangible goods such as exclusive online content access. However, the majority of electronic commerce entails the movement of tangible products in various forms. Online retailers are sometimes referred to as e-tailers, while the act of engaging in retail activities over the internet is often denoted as e-tail. The vast majority of large shops maintain an online presence through electronic commerce on the global network known as the World Wide Web.
